Western-style facilities and Internet access (per minutes \10) make it easy to feel at home. Take the Tozai line to the Shiroishi stop (four past Odori) and from there it's about seven-minute walk. Free coffee and tea.

We've received enthusiastic feedback about this place. Take the Tozai subway line to Shiroishi station (four stops from Odori); it's about a seven-minutes walk.

The smaller dorms can be booked as private rooms (sleeping up to 4) for an additional fee. There's a clean, well-equipped kitchen and pleasant lounge. The hostel is a bit hard to find: check their website for a detailed map and instructions. \3400-4800 per person.

Take the Tozai metro line toward Shin-Sapporo and get off at Shiroishi. From the top of the stairs at the metro exit, follow Nango st. back towards Lawson (in the Odori Park direction) and turn right at the light just past Seico Market. Though out of the town center, Ino's is the real backpacker's choice, with full amenities and a pastoral lounge. Communal kitchen. Breakfast from \100. Laundry \300 (including dryer).
